Grinding Stones
These pieces are modeled from ancient grinding stones. Though investigating historical utilitarian objects, I feel connected to the humans of our past and revel in the beauty of our shared humanity. I am especially excited by examples of direct logic: need to grind something? Use a rock. We can recognize the ideas and needs of others, and there is empathy and understanding in those moments.
